Donation Request for the Expansion and Operation of the Bereaved Families and Terror Victims Center in Ashdod

Ashdod, the sixth-largest city in Israel, with a population of over 257,000 residents, is located approximately 38 kilometers from the Gaza border. The city, which was one of the hardest-hit by rocket attacks during Operation “Iron Sword,” has experienced immense pain, with over 50 soldiers and civilians losing their lives in the terror attacks that occurred on October 7, 2023. The war not only claimed lives but also left deep trauma for the bereaved families, alongside many others wounded both physically and emotionally.

Due to the scale of loss and injuries, there is an urgent need to establish a dedicated center that provides sensitive and focused support for bereaved families and victims of terror. Therefore, we are reaching out to you to request your generous donation for the expansion and operation of the Bereaved Families Center in Ashdod.

The center currently operates out of an old building, which will be renovated and adapted to meet the unique needs of bereaved families and terror victims. The center works alongside the “Mahut” Resilience Center and provides holistic support for families in crisis. The center’s activities include individual counseling, support groups, workshops to empower parents, conferences on developing family resilience, and immediate support for grieving families.

Over the past year, the center has supported a large number of bereaved families, organizing significant events such as conferences, memorial ceremonies, and solidarity gatherings for the families of hostages. The donations received so far have allowed us to provide immediate support, but in order to continue and expand our work, we need additional support.

We thank you in advance for your support and your valuable contribution. Together, we can ensure that the bereaved families in Ashdod receive the full support they deserve during their most difficult time.
