"Music expresses that which cannot be put into words and that which cannot remain silent." – Victor Hugo
In light of the success of the scholarship program for children with special needs in the year 5784 (2023-2024), we are pleased to expand and offer the continuation of this program for the year 5785 (2024-2025). The scholarship program offers personalized music education for children with special needs and exceptional students, using music as a tool to enhance cognitive, emotional, and social development.
The Urgent Need for Financial Support
Given the events of the past year, especially the challenges brought on by the “Iron Swords” war, which resulted in significant loss of life and many psychological traumas, there is an urgent need to provide the necessary support to children and students for personal and emotional resilience. Music serves as a powerful tool for coping with trauma, strengthening self-confidence, and aiding in emotional recovery. The children, who face daily challenges, find in music a means of communication, self-expression, and joy.
Pedagogical Model
Throughout the year, each student will receive one hour per week of individualized music instruction at the municipal conservatory “Academia,” which will include listening, singing, and playing instruments. Additionally, each student will receive a personalized musical instrument that will help them develop their musical skills and express themselves freely and confidently.
The total cost for this project, including annual lesson hours and personalized instruments for each student, amounts to 350,000 NIS.
Importance of the Project
Especially in light of the many challenges of the past year, this program offers a unique and personalized solution for children with special needs and exceptional students. It provides them not only with musical tools but also with a sensitive response to mental resilience and coping with life’s challenges.
Your contribution will help expand the program and provide children with the tools for personal and musical fulfillment, allowing them to experience the healing power of music.
